Friday Night!

There was a time when Friday night meant - going somewhere other than home.  These days, we spend an ever increasing amount of time in and around our home.
Seasons are changing and nights are longer - so that's helpful.  But there's also four children to enjoy!

Last Friday, Dave escorted Gracie on her school field trip.  So we were all home by mid-afternoon.  The weather has been beautiful here and we've been living in our backyard.  We had whole wheat pizza dough resting in the fridge, so we had all we needed for a lovely family pizza party.

Dave had his brick oven stoked with fire in no time and we gathered ingredients for dinner.  The kids requested sardines, so they could make their own pizzas.

Gracie's pizza with fire-roasted tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella and topped with sardines.
Iris chomping organic saltines and goat milk - she has a refined palate.

Mommy's pizza with fire-roasted tomato sauce, roasted red and orange peppers, red onion, garlic and Parmesan.

After all the dinner excitement, we made a giant fort in the living room!
The big kids camped out in their fort all night! They read books by lantern and had so much fun.
While the kids slept in their fort, Mommy and Daddy relaxed in the backyard, with some Ace, Chainbreaker White IPA and some knitting.
Spring is here and we're loving every minute of it!
